Oxblood

The all-new Ball Family Reserve Baritone StingRay guitar is limited to just 50 units worldwide. With a 27.5" scale length and tuned B-B, this guitar offers exceptional tonal depth and versatility. Its Okoume body in a striking translucent Oxblood finish showcases the wood’s natural beauty, while the roasted figured maple neck with an oil and wax finish ensures smooth playability and stability. The 24 stainless steel frets and rosewood fretboard adorned with white pearloid block inlays provide both durability and classic aesthetics. The hardtail string-through-body bridge ensures solid sustain, and the custom humbucking pickups deliver a powerful, clear tone that captures the rich, extended range of the baritone without getting muddy or woofy.

ROASTED FLAME FINISHED NECK

Premium oil and wax-finished flame maple neck provide stability and durability while offering an extremely smooth playing experience.

Asymmetric Neck Carve

The back profile thickness is off-center towards the bass side of the neck and thins out near the treble side of the neck, allowing for a more comfortable playing experience under the fingertips.

MODERN CLASSIC HARDTAIL BRIDGE

Music Man Modern Classic hardtail strings-through-the-body bridge with vintage steel saddles is the standard bridge option for added resonance and tuning stability.

Stingray Baritone HT Bridge pickup

The Stingray HT (Heat-Treated) bridge pickup has been specifically designed for the baritone's longer scale length and lower register tuning. The humbucking pickup is focused on definition and clarity, emphasizing single-note separation and excellent touch sensitivity. The bridge pickup demonstrates a more vintage style output while retaining a distinctively clean, clear tone and definition at lower volume levels.

Family Matters

The Ball family is the last of a dying breed, a family business making premium guitars and basses on the California central coast since 1984. Sterling Ball, alongside his sons Brian and Scott, combine the laser precision of robotics and old-world hand craftsmanship to develop innovative instrument designs that push the boundaries of performance and playability.
